Mijn Wrangler bj 1997 heeft als chassisnummer 1J4FYN9S3VP484954. Op de 6e positie de letter N in plaats van de gebruikelijke cijfers 1,2,3 of 4 als aanduiding van het type/serie.

Heb deze vraag voorgelegt aan het Jeep Customer Assistance Center te Amerika.

Vervolgens gevraagt of het nu het type Sport of Sahara betrof en of dhr Tony kon achterhalen waarom men in het jaar 1997 voor het 6e een letter gebruikte en niet de gebruikelijke cijfers 11,2,3 of 4 ter aanduiding van het type/serie.

As noted in the build sheet data, the vehicle is listed as a Jeep Wrangler Sahara sport utility vehicle with the Sahara Decor Group (sales code ARSP).

Unfortunately I'm unable to determine why numbers where not used in the 6th VIN position for the 1997 model year.

Yep, daar lijkht het wel op.

Die "N" heb ik daar ook in de VIN staan. Rubicon van augustus 2003. Is in NL op kenteken gezet in aug. 2004. Andere auto, ander jaar maar wel die "N"...... . Misschien een code voor export naar EU?
