Shaverlake Area, Sierras Northern California

Spend 3 of my vacation days in the Shaverlake area of Northern California.

The Sieras are such a nice piece of nature and the area has some pretty nice trails to boot. On top of that it was nice to escape the head wave.

15 degrees Celius during the day instead of 40 is a big improvement.

3 degrees at night instead of 30 doesn't hurt either.

We camped several nights at the side of different gorgeous mountain lakes.

Golly life is good. The wheelin didn't disappoint either.

Watching bats at dusk, skimming the lake to try and snag insects before the lil trouts jump out of the water to catch the insects is pretty cool.

All in all a great time with some good 4 wheelin thrown in

Yup was a fun three days of wheelin, the 300 something miles at the start and at the end was a lil bit sucky, but well worth it.

Ja en wat betreft die temperaturen; daar kan ik me wat bij voorstellen ... een paar weken geleden nog van Texas naar Californie en terug gereden en ik was blij dat de airco in de Dodge gemaakt was, want 40+ in Phoenix en CA is bepaald geen pretje

Nee het is wat warm geweest,, even goed niet zo een hele hete zomer gehad
