Spend 3 of my vacation days in the Shaverlake area of Northern California. The Sieras are such a nice piece of nature and the area has some pretty nice trails to boot. On top of that it was nice to escape the head wave. 15 degrees Celius during the day instead of 40 is a big improvement. 3 degrees at night instead of 30 doesn't hurt either. We camped several nights at the side of different gorgeous mountain lakes. Golly life is good. The wheelin didn't disappoint either. Life at 3300 meters just isn't so bad every now and then camping 041 by aartjestaartje, on Flickr camping 034 by aartjestaartje, on Flickr camping 031 by aartjestaartje, on Flickr camping 030 by aartjestaartje, on Flickr Watching bats at dusk, skimming the lake to try and snag insects before the lil trouts jump out of the water to catch the insects is pretty cool. All in all a great time with some good 4 wheelin thrown in
