Was een hele mooie en exciting vakantie. Iets van 2500 miles in een week, waarvan 2000 in 2 dagen de rest van de week was pure entertainment

Here are a couple of mine. Getting home yesterday, I feel like I just ran a marathon. 2300 mile drive for a weekend wheeling trip... why not. Next year I am staying for a week though. Mike and Art, thank you for letting em tag along. It was great to meet and wheel with you both. Hopefully we will get to again soon.

There are some BIG rocks and ledges out west. I read before I left that Carnage was not a trial you run, but one you earn. I feel that is a fitting description for that experience. -
Some more pics of the party
Here are a few pics from Holy Cross and Carnage Canyon. Art and Lee it was great to meet and wheel with you. Thanks again for the busy times. All the pics can be found here:

Penrose was fun for as long as it lasted, some of the waterfalls are nasty. Any way, we ran all the runnable stuff till Lee's trackbar broke.
Luckily it was at an exit waterfall so after a strap to hold things in place we winched it out and called it a day

Oh yeah on the way back to the trailer got a lil carried away at the carnage rock if that is what it's called, had to goof around with the winch for a bit to get going again.
Took this one on the way to Leadville, had a fun day and layed my eyes up on some very pretty country

Man did I like 21 rd, beautifull scenery and some pretty good obstacles. Started not so good drove past the staging area, could go further with my truck, had to take the buggy of the trailer, drag it back and around, turned the truck around and hooked the trailer back up. Got everything to the side of the trail so as not to block access. After that play time.

Visited area BFE in the morning, had fun on Helldorado and the training area. Chickend out on the waterfall though, just being by my bad self, hammering down didn't seem to be the best idea. Was fun anyway. Aced a few waterfalls in the training area, which was way cool, one of them I got denied on last year in my Jeep, easy peasy today. Made it to Grand Junction this afternoon, resting up for a day of fun tomorrow

Once I walked these obstacles, they were not at all bad, now the lil off camber ledge that comes after I disliked with a passion. Small margin for error, that can make for a bad day and a bad rest of your life. Had a load of fun on it. Sphincter is relaxed again lol -
Had some fun during my road trip this morning, picked the first trail that came up fun lil thing fer sure.
did a rated 10 trail this morning and Sand hollow UT was a fun lil diversion, had to work at it a lil, got wedged pretty good bend one of the cage tubes, oopsie!

Just arrived in Moab, gonna have a bit of fun here before I head for Grand Rapids, buggy is getting a work out. -
Begrijp me niet verkeerd, voor average wheeling is een MTR a pretty good all around tire

Tomorrow is going to be wheelin day, spend part of today relaxing and did a bit of tinkering
Mounted my trusty hilift, will help keep my goodies in the back at the same time.
Also added a do that to the dash, pretty cool contraption, just have to figure out how to use it.

Love goofing around, but it does show roughly the front to rear weight ratio and a lil something about it's weight.Floor jack doesn't like lifting the rear of my big Jeep, but picks this whole thing up to the end of suspension travel without breaking a sweat
-
It survived it's first shakedown run, this lil buggy is a ton of fun to haul ass in., flexes like a boneless hooker, climbs as a billygoat.
I am very happy with it so far, have a few issues to resolve but nothing major

Steering on Tinkertoy was a wash, but playing with scrappy was fun.
Welded a few thing in the heat put some oil in the front diff. Tightened and added jam nuts to the control arms and then it was flexy time. Also figured out that the TCC works in all gears, couldn't figure out for a bit why the darn thing kept stalling, guess a idiot light would be a good addition.Anyway on to the good stuff at 4 feet of flex front and rear things are stable and it's easy to get there. I bet I am gonna love auto wheeling. -
Other than having to source 4 different 10 mm bolts my drivshaft yoke project is concluded. Made the adapter on my old lathe using a 4 jaw independent chuck that's probably close to 50 years old, had to flip the big chunk to machine the other side and it still has only 0.005" run out now that it's installed, pretty pleased with that. Front driveshaft should clear the frame and lower control arm now at full droop
